North America is my “home” continent, which means these are the trips that don't require a 14-hour flight or a week of jet lag recovery — just a good deal, a free weekend, and the willingness to GO. I say “home” because it is where I live, but my real home continent will always be Africa. Anyways, North America is where my points habit gets its most frequent workouts: quick Mexico escapes, Bahamas water so blue it looks fake, and adventures across the USA. If you're looking for proof that you don't need a far-flung destination for a great trip, start here.
